This pot lid holder is one of those kitchen gadgets that sounds simple, but once it’s sitting by the stove, it makes a lot of sense. When you’re cooking and need to lift a lid, there’s always that awkward moment where you’re trying to stir with one hand, hold a hot dripping lid with the other, and not let condensation run all over the stove. This gives you a dedicated place to set the lid down without making a mess or having to balance it on the counter. The drip tray is probably what makes it useful instead of just being another rack. The water from the lid has somewhere to go, and it also works well as a spoon rest while cooking. Ours has become a little catch spot for utensils while making dinner — spoons, tongs, chopsticks, whatever I’m using at the stove. It keeps the countertop and stovetop area cleaner, and it saves me from grabbing extra plates or paper towels just to set utensils down.Appearance-wise, it looks nice enough to leave out. It doesn’t look like a big clunky contraption, and the size works well for our kitchen. It fits perfectly underneath our microwave and hood fan area, so it stays close to the stove without taking over the counter. That’s a big plus, because if something like this is inconvenient to store or use, it usually ends up in a cabinet and never comes back out. It’s also easy to clean. I wouldn’t put the metal frame in the dishwasher, but the drip tray is something I’d be comfortable washing that way. Most of the time, it just needs a quick rinse or wipe-down after cooking. The sponge that came with it is junk, though. I wouldn’t count that as a real bonus — it feels like one of those throw-in extras that doesn’t add much.Overall, this is a very useful little kitchen item. It holds lids, catches drips, works as a spoon rest, looks decent, and fits nicely near the stove. For everyday cooking, it’s convenient and easy to use, and it solves a small but annoying kitchen problem better than I expected.
Holds very large lids & has a nice spoon rest. It is just plastic spoon rest & wire holder so looks a little cheap but does whats its supposed to.
